Who are we?

Hola, we are “Espíritus del Mar”, your Mexican amigos who are going to guide you through your surfing path. As local surfers on the Nayarit Coast, we are going to share with you our passion for the sea, for the waves and for the beautiful sport of surfing.

Espíritus del Mar surf camp is one of a kind in the Riviera Nayarit because we mix the surf sessions, the must see experiences in the area and the tropical lifestyle of surf. Join us to live the dream and experience this unforgettable adventure.

Nayarit coast is a tropical area full of friendly and fun waves that fit perfectly to surfers that are chasing the thrill of becoming a better skilled surfer, meet new people and get to know the tropical culture of our small fishing towns.

Our Story...

Our spirit belongs to the sea since day one, that’s why we are “Espíritus del Mar”, a community of surfers and friends that are born and raised in the Nayarit Coast and that share the passion for the sea, for nature and the love of surfing not only as a sport but as a LIFESTYLE.

Espíritus del Mar surf camp is the result of the teamwork from two local companies in Nayarit Coast, Vallarta Surf School that is located in Bahia de Banderas and Costa Arborea an outdoor activities company located in Los Cocos, San Blas.

Key values in our Surf Camp:

•We all are friends, so we act as one by caring, helping and supporting in the way of coolness and empathy.

•We have a true commitment with nature, so we leave the place better than we found it by minimizing our negative impact in nature and taking positive actions.

•We love our local communities so we support local businesses, hire locals for the staff and of course we respect the local culture.

Our honest commitment to the Earth makes us care about our oceans, beaches, our land and of course to care about our communities, that’s why Espíritus del Mar started since the beginning as a Sustainable Program that supports actions around wild life, conservation and the minimizing of negative impacts.

Surf

Our mission is to help you achieve your surfing dreams by coaching all the different aspects that makes surfing a very complete sport and of course introduce you into the addictive feeling of riding waves.

All our lessons and coaching go through some important theory and explanations about the oceans understanding, safety, types of boards and techniques which will be practiced on site and in the fun of the waves.
